Bear Necessities Volume 37
As we close out another incredible year of Mercy Athletics, I want to take a moment to reflect on the growth, grit, and community our student-athletes have shown across all seasons. From practices starting in June to late night competitions, our athletes have represented Mercy with heart and pride.
To all of our athletes: I encourage you to stay active this summer. Keep training, stay disciplined, and continue to grow in your sport, or even try something new. Use the break to rest, recover, and reflect, but also to improve. Championship seasons are built in the off-season. Be intentional with your time and set goals now for the fall and beyond.
To our graduating seniors: Thank you. You've been the heartbeat of your teams, role models for younger athletes, and reminders that sports are more than wins and losses they are about belonging. For many of you, athletics gave you a home here at Mercy. As you move into this next chapter, know that sports can continue to offer that same sense of purpose and connection whether through college athletics, intramurals, club teams, or coaching.
Stay involved, stay moving, and stay connected. The lessons you've learned on the field, court, track, and in the pool will serve you well for a lifetime.
Thank you to our athletes, our parents, and our coaches and our community for all the support this season. Have a safe, healthy, and active summer.
