Bear Necessities Volume 29
This past Thursday, we hosted our Annual Spirit Spectacular, a middle school cheer and dance competition. The event featured six schools competing in our regular division for 7th and 8th graders. In a special addition this year, we expanded our entry to include Mini Squads, showcasing cheerleaders ranging from Kindergarten to 6th grade.
The competition kicked off with an adorable display as the Tiny Tigers and Mini Knights took center stage. Their performance was an absolute hit, showing off their spirit and enthusiasm. One of our very own cheerleaders also made a memorable appearance, joining her alma mater, St. Catherine's, to cheer them on as they competed for the first time ever. It was a special moment that connected our current Mercy Bears with their former classmates.
The energy in the gym was electric, as the athletes took the floor with excitement. The bleachers were packed with family and friends. This years competition showcased talent from the of the athletes and also reinforced the strong sense of community and spirit on display from each team. Beyond the jumps and cheers it was the camaraderie, the enthusiasm, and the enjoyment that made the day memorable.
