Bear Necessities Volume 21
Both of our Spirit Squads competed this past weekend! Our Dance Team traveled down to Southern California to participate in the UDA West Coast Challenge in Irvine California. Before the competition took place on Sunday, the team was able to enjoy a day of team bonding at Disneyland Park. On Thursday our Cheer Team traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada to participate in the JAMZ School Nationals. The team also took some time for bonding with a team dinner. This competition marked the first time Mercy Cheer participated in the Varsity Stunt category with our team of five hitting zero- a true accomplishment! Later that evening the entire team made their debut on the Black Mat.
While the purpose of these trips is undoubtedly the competition, what matters most aren't the scoresheets. It's the team hugs before taking the floor and mats, and the proud parents cheering from near and far. The most magical moments come when our athletes realize just how strong they have become. The true victories can be found in the memories that will last a lifetime—long after the scores are forgotten.
